Thunderbird Lodge No. 15
Free and Accepted Masons
Volume 13, Issue 4 www.thunderbird15.org April 2006

From the
East:
Well, first of all for this month I would like to welcome
Michael Gattorna as our newest Fellowcraft
Mason. Michael was passed on March 16. We had visitors from
We voted yes to one petition for the one day class on May
27, which we are hosting at the El Zaribah Shrine
auditorium, and have four more to vote on pending the results of the
investigating committees. There will also be at least two more new petitions to
read at the April meeting. All but one of these petitions has been brought to
lodge by Brother Paul Reynolds. Great job, Paul! I wish more of us had your
enthusiasm. The challenge is on to see if the entire lodge together can bring
as many petitions as you have.
You will see an announcement in this issue about upcoming
discussion appertaining to proposed changes to our by-laws at the next stated
meeting. Any changes to the by-laws could be voted on as early as May 4, at the
stated meeting. Some of these changes are necessary for us to comply with
present
We presently have only a few people who have R.S.V.P.’d for the picnic on April 15. If you are planning
to come, Please call 480-756-1105 by April 1 and get on the list. We have to
get funds for food purchases approved at the meeting on April, and I really
don’t want to end up with a pack of hot dogs and two pounds of hamburger for
thirty people. We have had it said that our lodge never does anything fun or
different, all we ever do when we get together are formal things like lodge
business or ritual work. This is your chance to be informal, the picnic isn’t
business – it’s for fun and getting together informally, and family, friends
and other lodge members are included. You don’t have be a member of Thunderbird
to attend.
There is presently a committee of three for the reunion
scheduled for November 9. We need any
historical information any of you have out there. We would like to display
pictures, narratives, historical documents or memorabilia from the two lodges
at this event, and anything anyone can contribute will be appreciated. We need
some good planning for this event and need to have registration forms available
as soon as possible so people can make plans to attend. There is room on the
committee for more, if any brothers are willing to help plan and conduct this
event.
Until next
Month.
Fraternally Yours,
Jim
Drake, WM
