From the East:

At the last stated meeting on Jan. 11 we had some brothers in attendance we hadn’t seen for a while - Steve Ban, Karl Unger, Charles Bentley and Amos and Kenny Webster, it was good to sit with you in Lodge again! We approved the budget for 2007, which includes funds for improvements to the lodge room, such as better lighting, and also installing a screen and power point projector so we can have better presentations than our old slide projector affords.

In this Trestle Board is a flyer for our picnic on April 14. We had a great time last year, and this year we will not be conflicting with Easter or Mother’s Day. Bring your favorite potluck dish and we will all sample each other’s cooking. We had a great time last year and I think it will be better this year. Please be sure to RSVP to my wife, Vanessa, or myself so we will know how much meat, etc. to buy, by April 1. If you have any ideas for activities you can also call about them, too.

The northern Arizona lodges will be having a camp out on July 19 – 22 to celebrate 125 years of masonry in Arizona at Jacobs Lake. There will be an outdoor degree on Saturday. Registration has to be done with the Flagstaff lodge. A copy of the flyer will be posted on our website or if you have any questions, call Cal Magness or at 928-607-9374, or call me. We have recently been talking about doing a lodge camp out, but I think if we got together and went as a group this would be a great event, and we can fellowship with the brethren of northern Arizona, too, as well as go to a degree. This event (except for the degree) is open to the whole family, and they are encouraged to attend.

Also, on September 29, Aztlan Lodge #1 will be having their outdoor degree at Fein Ranch, near Prescott. This could also make a good group event. If some brothers would like to travel to Prescott for a Third Degree, I can get a van so we can go as a group. With more transportation, maybe the ladies could go along and spend the cay in Prescott shopping and antiquing.

Don’t forget we have a First Degree next week on Thursday, Feb. 1, at 7:00 PM. Come welcome our new brother into your Lodge. Also, on Tuesday, Feb. 6, we will be attending a First Degree at Phoenecia Lodge # 58, located at 16027 N. 25th St., in Phoenix. The degree begins at 7:00 PM.

Take care and the best to you and yours. Come to the Stated Meeting on February 8, we will be discussing anti Masonry. Until next month…                                                                Jim Drake PM

From the Secretary

Don’t forget to register for the Grand Lodge of Arizona 125th Annual Communication 31 May – 2 June 2007 at the Little America in Flagstaff AZ.  The cut-off for the discounted $35 early registration is 28 February 2007, with registration going to $40 thereafter.

The following Brother was recently reported as having passed to celestial Lodge above:

Robert D Zahn Sr, passed 6 January 2007, was also a member of El Zaribah and the Phoenix Scottish Rite, and would have achieved 25 years in Masonry next month.

May he rest in peace, harmony and Brotherly love.

We really appreciate your continued membership in Thunderbird #15.  If you have any problems or issues that I can help resolve, please give me a call at 480-759-0253 or send an e-mail to beattyw@msn.com .
