Greetings
from the East:
It is with deep regret and sympathy
that I must inform everyone that Brother Robert (Bob)
On behalf of the Lodge and your

find solace in the caring prayers of others and may you find comfort in the
memories of your heart. We are
asking God, the God of all comfort, to surround you with His love and peace
during this difficult time.

From the
West:
Well, we
didn’t
have too many brothers present at the August stated meeting. I guess sometimes
that’s
The stated meeting for
September will be on
On October
15th, which is a Saturday, we will be having a Widow’s
dinner and program. The exact time will be in the October Trestle Board, but it
will be at noon or in the afternoon so that our more elderly associates can come
during daylight hours, and it will be easier for the brothers to drive the
widows who wish to attend, but do not have transportation, to the Shrine.
Worshipful Master is working on a program that has some entertainment, and I
hear that there will even be a clown there. This day is not limited to widows,
but any brother may bring his lady and join us in honoring our widows on that
day. Please RSVP so we can have enough food for everybody.
We have a couple of
Entered Apprentices who are working on their proficiency so they can be passed
to Fellowcraft. At the end of October we will have a Military Degree for any who
are ready to be passed. Now, I’ve
never seen a Military Degree, but I’ve
always wanted to. I understand that is done with great precision and a little
closer to the actual ritual (as opposed to ad libbing) than our humble lodge
members do when we put on a second degree. Watch for the date and time in the
October Trestle Board.
In November, the
Worshipful Master is working a family picnic. Planning is still in the works,
but it will probably be in
And lastly, the
Installation of Officers for 2006 will be on
I would also like to
extend my condolences to our Treasurer, Robert Bell, who recently lost his son.
Our prayers are with you, Bob, and I think I can say all of the Brethren are
there for you if you ever need anything.
Jim Drake,
Senior Warden
